Bon Secours Wellness Arena is seeking a full-time Custodian to join our Housekeeping team. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe venue environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all our guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting of all areas of the Arena including restrooms, lobbies, corridors, offices, and dressing rooms.
- Clean and sanitize work areas to include floors, walls, glass doors and panels, fixtures and furnishings, and restrooms.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies including vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and cleaning chemicals.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations; report unsafe issues to supervisor immediately.
- Monitor inventory and supplies, and notify management when items need replenishing.
- Respond to guest requests for assistance and ensure their needs are met in a timely and courteous manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience is preferred.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and proven work history.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, if needed.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and materials, up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage procedures, and disposal methods.
