Are you a Data Analyst looking for the next step in your career?

We’re looking for a Customer Insight Analyst, with experience and an active interest in all things data oriented, to join us in our quest to deepen our understanding of our current and potential customers and to democratise insight from our customer data across the business.

We make extensive use of Power BI, built on data warehoused in Snowflake, we have a hybrid model, with some analysts embedded within individual business units, a network of trained power users, and a central Business Intelligence team to support them. This opportunity is for an analyst to work with our Customer Insights team, supporting the Head of Customer Experience and Insight to ensure we are maximising the use of our customer data to inform business decisions and strategy.

Key activities include:

  • Working with the Business Intelligence team and stakeholders specify the format of customer data and its ingestion into our data stack.
  • Building data models for reporting on our Voice of the customer (VOC) Programme and other quantitative sources of Customer Insight such as customer registrations.
  • Building Visualisations, reports, dashboards and Apps to share quantitative customer Insights with the relevant stakeholders across the business.
  • Supporting the quantitative analysis of data gathered by the product design team as part of research projects.
  • Analysing large qualitative datasets with natural language processing using scripting languages such as R and Python.
  • Acting as Quant/Stats lead in the growing Customer Insights team.

An ideal candidate is likely to be:

  • A graduate of a degree in a relevant STEM subject (preferably numerate)
  • Familiar with statistics and statistical bias concepts.
  • Familiar with Data storage and processing tools like SQL or Snowflake
  • Experienced with Excel, Power BI and or other visualisation tools - Tableau, Alteryx etc.
  • Able to work independently as well as alongside/across multiple teams.
  • Keen to learn (if not experienced with) scripting languages such as R and Python.
  • Curious, self-motivated and have a growth mindset
  • Customer-focused
  • Interested in music, recording, or audio.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills – the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.

This is a new role in an area that has grown to require dedicated resource and is an area we expect to continue to grow, a great opportunity to join us at this key point and help shape our approach in this area.

You will learn through real life and hands-on experience whilst continuing your development in the field of analysis by attending webinars, seminars and specialist workshops. We will also provide and support training designed to achieve industry recognised accreditations.
