What you’ll be doing
The Customer Success Coordinator will support the Business Operations team by ensuring entrepreneurs have a first class experience with a16z as part of the deal process and after joining the portfolio. This includes supporting the Deal Operations Partner with inbound introductions, onboarding and offboarding portfolio companies and ensuring company data is accurately tracked and always up to date in internal systems, primarily salesforce.com.
New Deal Process
-- Work closely with the Deal Operations Partner to ensure that all introductions to a16z are reviewed by the correct partner and that follow-up is completed in a timely manner
-- Help keep systems up to date as deals move through the process
-- Provide Operating Teams background on new deal opportunities to ensure that a16z’s pitch is carried out effectively with entrepreneurs
Portfolio Onboarding and Offboarding
-- Coordinate with the Portfolio Company, a16z’s Deal Team and a16z’s Operating Teams to ensure that all portfolio companies are successfully onboarded when a new investment is made
i. Provide appropriate prep materials to all parties prior to the initial meeting
ii. Host the onboarding meeting and manage key follow-ups to completion
iii. Act as the central air traffic controller to ensure adhoc requests for companies are directed to the appropriate a16z resources
-- Ensure that portfolio companies are successfully offboarded after an exit occurs
-- Update key data that is stored in salesforce.com for all portfolio companies - including timely updates when we invest or when there are major changes at the company
-- Ensure that data collected addresses the needs of teams across a16z; for example ensuring that data in salesforce.com is complete for company profiles on a16z.com
-- Survey the portfolio on an annual basis to understand if the firm is successfully delivering on its promise to entrepreneurs
