Are you passionate about using data analytics to understand how users interact with products? We are looking for people who get excited about sharing data cross functionally to drive business decisions. We are proud to have built a product that our customers love, and we’re looking for the founding members of our Data & Analytics team to join the Gusto family. Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Serve operational groups by identifying data requirements, prioritizing projects, defining KPIs/metrics conducting analysis and providing insight
  • Build & maintain data visualizations that empower decision making for all teams, both customer facing and internal
  • Train and educate internal users on data visualization tools and best practices
  • Reconcile data between various systems, find opportunities to innovate and lead the way
  • Communicate new data requests clearly to Data Engineering

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; intellectually curious
  • Proven track record of collaboration with a variety of decision makers to drive impact
  • Share a creative approach in developing actionable analysis and guidance
  • Knowledge of relational databases (Redshift, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Data visualization guru (Tableau and Looker)
  • SQL ninja

Bonus points:

  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams and helping code solutions (ETL, Redshift)
  • Familiarity with R in addition to a scripting language (Python, Ruby, etc.) to build statistical models and ETLs
