The Data Science / Analytics Manager role is part of the Business Intelligence team within Upstream.
The Analytics Team services all departments within the company and supports multiple functions such as Revenue Forecasting, Billing Optimization, Fraud Detection with Digital Advertising, to name a few.
Your role will be to innovate with the use of data and analytics, to provide insights, deliver effective and actionable recommendations to improve our systems and processes and develop algorithms to become part of our core solutions. You will apply your skills in processing and analyzing big volumes of customer interaction data to unveil new patterns and trends, address business questions and uncover new kinds of threats for end consumers.
You will be the leading expert of a team of talented data scientists and will be expected to provide thought leadership within the team and to our stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to bring fresh views on how we currently do things at Upstream. You will be reporting to the Head of Business Intelligence and be expected to help shaping the evolution of the BI & Analytics capabilities within the company.
The suitable candidate should have a passion for data and problem solving, experience in statistics and software development, and the ability to develop and combine domain knowledge with statistical and machine learning methods. You will need to have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as a team member and lead. Your work will ultimately allow Upstream to positively impact consumers around the world.
Prior experience in some of the following will be useful: digital advertising, fraud and risk detection, revenue forecasting, pricing optimization, customer segmentation, profiling and scoring.
