Omada Health is seeking a Data Science Intern to join our Data & Analytics team for Summer 2017. As a Data Science Intern at Omada, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into a rich dataset and find key insights into the challenges of enacting lasting behavior change in the face of chronic disease.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about machine learning, experimental design and health data. The candidate should be comfortable conducting descriptive, exploratory and statistical analyses for a variety of internal stakeholders and be able to communicate the results clearly and efficiently.

This position is perfect for those looking to gain more exposure to data science and health care.

Requirements:

  • Strong in predictive modeling/machine learning techniques that lead to both interpretable and actionable results
  • Solid understanding of prospective experimental design
  • Comfortable conducting and interpreting retrospective analyses
  • Strong statistical/analytical intuition and experience
  • Comfort with the Linux command line (Bash)
  • Competent with SQL
  • Experience with statistical computing, R or Python preferred
  • Degree in a quantitative field like mathematics, physics, bioinformatics, or statistics
  • Bonus points for experience analyzing health data
