Twilio is seeking a Deal Desk Analyst-Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), based in San Francisco and reporting to the Manager, FP&A.

About the job:

As a Deal Desk Analyst at Twilio, you will be responsible for many aspects of pricing and will have significant impact on pricing terms and contracts. Our business model is one of the most important ways we add value to our customers, and you will ensure we deliver this value to each customer we work with.

We are seeking an individual who understands pricing from finance as well as a sales perspective, and is detail oriented in their thought process and proposals. The Analyst will be a leader in bringing together product managers, sales, accountants and business development team members to develop and execute Twilio’s pricing strategy.


  • Represent finance in all price quotes to customers by running deal desk meetings with finance, sales, product management, and business development.
  • Working with sales in building price quotes for our customers.
  • Improving the pricing process by developing new pricing models and standards that dictate how deals are managed.
  • Provide analysis around trends in customer requests and pricing. Take action on trends revealed, driving changes in pricing and costs.
  • Financial analysis based on pricing knowledge that will assist forecasting and planning.
  • Build and report metrics based on knowledge of prices and customers that will be reported to the executive and board level.
  • Assist as needed on ad hoc projects within pricing, and the greater finance team.


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Economics, Math or Engineering undergrad majors preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional organization.  
  • Experience working in Pricing, Sales Operations, Finance, or similar function.
  • Experience working in a SaaS company or other recurring revenue model preferred.
  • Experience working in high-growth company or division, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to operate as an analyst and to understand the sales organization within a SaaS company.
  • Track record of prioritizing and managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong Excel and Keynote skills.
