We are looking for a smart and ambitious Demand Generation Manager to help us plan and execute our growth campaigns. The ideal candidate will be a data-obsessed, well-rounded marketer, with an instinct for running campaigns that drive conversions and traffic. While the primary focus of this role will be demand generation and email marketing, this is an incredible opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of marketing disciplines.

Marketing at Crunchbase
The Crunchbase Marketing team is responsible for both product and corporate marketing initiatives, including lead generation, creating exceptional content, and driving engagement with our community of users. As Crunchbase's Demand Generation Manager, you will:

• Be a marketing automation expert by building everything from multi-touch nurture programs, the Crunchbase Daily newsletter, and user engagement campaigns
• Plan and execute creative, data-driven campaigns to generate new traffic at the top of the funnel by utilizing paid channels such as SEM, display advertising, retargeting, and social advertising
• Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies
• Optimize marketing campaigns with the use of advertising, landing page and A/B testing
• Define campaign objectives, create strategies, and target audiences
• Work with Marketing, Product, and Sales leaders to create marketing assets, including product collateral, email campaigns, trade show materials, and webinar content to tell our story and drive sales
• Project manage campaign execution, including timelines, deliverables, reporting on ROI, and recommending improvements
• Develop multi-touch campaigns (e.g. drip, nurture, post-sale, etc.) to move buyers efficiently and effectively through their journey

• 2-4 years successful tech marketing experience, preferably in digital
• Refined project management skills and ability to simultaneously self-manage multiple projects and campaigns
• Experience with freemium business models, especially driving user engagement, user adoption, and revenue for a direct, online business model.
• Strong understanding of audience segmentation and how to cater messages specifically to unique marketing personas
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver large-scale, measurable and successful sales campaigns
• Experience developing a scalable campaign cadence geared towards significantly increasing conversions
• Experience running SEM, display advertising, retargeting, paid social and email marketing campaigns
• Expertise in marketing automation (Autopilot, Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot, etc.)
• Understanding of Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and A/B testing
• Experience with Wordpress a plus
• Keen eye for design
• Self-motivated, action-oriented personality
• Excellent communication skills -- speaking to internal executives and external vendors comes with ease
• Incredibly coachable personality -- you are constantly looking for opportunities to improve your craft
• Previous experience in a high-growth startup requiring you to wear multiple hats
• B2C experience preferred, but not required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
