Vox.com is a user’s guide to the news, helping readers make sense of everything from ISIS to the 2016 election to Game of Thrones. We want to create the single best resource for news consumers anywhere. To build that resource, every day we move quickly to deliver the best context, reporting, and analysis to the news that matters most for our readers.
We’re seeking a deputy managing editor who will help scale, manage, and support Vox.com’s fast-growing newsroom. This is a leadership role. We expect the DME to be aggressive, opportunistic, and self-directed in growing and supporting editors and their teams of reporters. We want someone obsessed with understanding the world around them, uncovering the latest stories that would matter to our audience, and guide editors and writers to ensure we’re always on a path toward more reach and quality.
Sound like you? Then send us a resume, cover letter, and 3 examples of work you’ve written or were the creative lead on.
This is a permanent, full-time position with benefits. You'll be joining a family of focused, hard-working, creative people who are passionate about creating for the web, building tools to foster online community, and doing work that's challenging and fun.
