Design Lead

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Design Lead to join our team at QED42. The ideal candidate will have a clear vision for end-to-end solutions and will develop roadmaps to achieve these goals by leading design strategy activities, identifying user demands and business opportunities, and generating innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and articulate a clear vision for the end-to-end solution and develop roadmaps to achieve it.
  • Lead design strategy activities to identify user demands and business opportunities, uncover business/user needs, and generate potential solutions.
  • Own the project vision and roadmap while continuously improving the design development process.
  • Lead the team in understanding the objectives of each design request and presenting innovative UI/UX proposals to stakeholders.
  • Display high-quality design practices, engaging in all aspects of design: research, ideation, strategy, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Maintain and improve design team processes, ensuring all delivered designs adhere to style guides and meet high standards of quality.
  • Offer creative ideas that remove complexity and restrictions, ensuring user-friendly designs.
  • Develop mechanisms for tracking project progress, prioritizing feature development, and handling setbacks.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Foster a collaborative, productive, and positive environment within the team by empowering and mentoring team members.
  • Communicate and respond effectively to the team and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Manage all sales, pre-sales, RFPs, and proposals related to design services.
  • Lead the design practice, including team management, delivery of design services, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with clients in North America and EMEA regions, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that exceed their expectations.
  • Min 8 years of work experience as a UI/UX designer, at least 4 years as a Lead UI/UX designer, focused on the whole UI/UX design and development lifecycle of numerous successfully released website/mobile applications.
  • Proven success in designing and optimizing high-quality user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Expertise in UI/UX interaction and design principles and deliverables, including rapid prototyping, concept diagrams, user scenarios, wireframes, flows, experience maps, and design patterns.
  • Experience managing a team of 8-10 UI/UX designers.
  • Experience working with clients in North America and EMEA regions.
  • Awareness of the possibilities and limitations of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proven ability to manage all aspects of sales, pre-sales, RFPs, and proposals related to design services.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading a design practice, ensuring team productivity, and client satisfaction.
  • Drive and willingness to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic.
