Design Operations Coordinator, Onboarding & Experience

About the role:

As a Design Ops Coordinator, you will support the our client's global Experience Design organization and ensure an engaging designer experience from initial onboarding, and throughout their journey. You will partner closely with the Design Enablement Lead, other Design Ops Coordinators and Design Leaders across portfolios. Responsibilities include managing new hire set up, developing key foundational resources and materials, and being a key point of contact for all team members.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as a main point of contact for new team members, ensuring a smooth technical set up and introduction to the Experience Design Organization
  • Develop and maintain key resources and documentation that orient new hires to the organization, and help them navigate their department
  • Maintain accurate tracking throughout a new hire’s journey, from offer acceptance through the first day experience and first 90 days
  • Partner with Design Enablement Lead and Design Leaders in planning activities to understand hiring goals and recruitment initiatives
  • Partner with Communications Lead on announcements and ensuring new hires are engaged in Design forums and channels
  • Partner with IT, support and systems specialists to plan, share updates and work through any issues
  • Partner with global Design Ops team members to ensure a consistent onboarding and designer experience practice

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 3+ years of work experience
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in project management, creative operations, creative production or agency management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to convey ideas effectively through slide presentations
  • Experience in improving process to create better outcomes
  • A detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and proactively problem-solve
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of management
  • Advanced familiarity and experience with Google Suite
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $70,000.00 to $80,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package. 

Even better if you have:

  • Experience supporting in-house or consultancy design teams spanning design disciplines including product design, interaction design, visual design, content strategy, research, and engineering
  • A passion for teaching and learning from others to shape process and culture
  • Familiarity using Smartsheets, Airtable and other project management software
