As a Design Operations Manager for the New Relic XD team you'll work closely with the VP of Product Design to support a large team of designers, writers, and researchers through a transformative period of high-growth. You'll apply your understanding of design strategy and project management to lead our design operations for a period of three months, boosting the team's progress to enact their experience design vision and deliver value to New Relic users.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the UX team and the larger New Relic organization to be increasingly design-led and user-centric.
  • Collaborate with the UX leadership team to document and roll-out new standards and processes to improve the team and our products.
  • Support UX community development by driving an open flow of communication, knowledge sharing, events, and activities coordination.
  • Provide program management coordination of strategic UX initiatives with maintenance of status updates.
  • Identify ways for the team to improve, and spot misalignments early to actively resolve those.
  • Act as a bridge between the UX organization and other operational teams at New Relic.
  • Support UX tools licensing and our migration to Figma.
  • Handle the logistics of relationships with external parties, such as contractors or vendors.

Your Qualifications

  • 5-10 yrs of experience working in design operations, or design program management
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with mid to large UX teams
  • Knowledge of the design process, design and research methods, tools, and roles
  • Adept at minding the details alongside the big picture
  • Experience working with design systems
  • Superb project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agile product organization
