In this position you would have responsibilities related to managing the development, execution and analytics of successful direct marketing campaigns (largely direct mail-based).


  • Plan, implement and monitor direct marketing campaigns that generate the leads and response needed to exceed the business plan
  • Manage in-house lists and list acquisition as well as develop list segmentation strategies across multiple channels of the business
  • Effectively use customer lists and databases to increase program utilization and penetration among key audiences.
  • Closely manage marketing campaign costs and related resources to ensure budgets are used as effectively as possible
  • Utilize database marketing and analytics knowledge to evaluate program results and provide recommendations for next steps/roll-outs
  • Manage external agencies and third parties to ensure successful production and delivery of campaigns
  • Establish tracking processes and monitor campaign milestones in order to provide pre and post campaign reporting analysis
  • Quality control across all direct mail and physical collateral. Using Excel to quality check data used for projects.
  • Evaluation and simplification of existing Project Management tracking and reporting systems
  • Continuous experimentation to maximize results


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years within marketing/advertising environment
  • History of quantifiable success in managing marketing projects from end-to-end, ideally for a tech startup
  • Thrives on being “in the weeds” of project management; stays close to the daily inner-workings of every campaign
  • Extensive experience working with data to optimize quality control, segmentation and targeting opportunities that enable profitable scaling, reduced CPA’s and/or enhanced ROI
  • Organized, detail oriented and able to simultaneously manage multiple direct marketing campaigns from launch to execution -- without missing a beat
  • Experience with managing print, mail and creative vendors during all stages of mail campaign development for flat mail and packages
  • Experience working with dashboards and automated tools used in the warehousing and launch of data, leads and related campaign metrics
  • Skilled at working with large Excel sheets as it relates to reviewing data, lists, analytics and budgeting
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating and handling budget related aspects of outside resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast moving, high volume environment where pivoting is part of the DNA
  • Amazing skills related to strategic thinking, problem analysis and problem-solving
  • Able to proof prepress items to ensure there are no mistakes
  • Proficient in Office, (Excel, Word, PPT)
  • Experience handling media plans and related contracts a big plus.
