Director, Ad Operations Strategy

Brit + Co is looking for an Ad Operations Strategy Director to lead the post sales strategy, process and fulfillment of Brit + Co’s brand partner campaigns. This person should be able to navigate setting department strategy, create process for account management and technically spearhead ad operations. This person should have a strong understanding of digital media across native and social media formats along with ad serving experience and technical prowess. Primary responsibility will be to oversee & build a team across ad operations and account management while working closely with sales, creative, product, marketing, analytics and clients to develop best practices and drive revenue.

The Ad Operations Strategy Director will work with the senior leadership team and will report directly into the head of brand partnerships preferably in San Francisco but open to New York for an excellent candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee a team of ad operations and account managers to successfully project manage timelines and fulfill campaigns accurately
  • Management of 3rd party ad servers (media & video) and social/media relationships
  • Preparation, execution and monitoring of ad campaign delivery
  • Ability to provide proactive optimization/up-selling opportunities
  • Identify solutions to improve campaign performance
  • Create a scalable campaign reporting system
  • Represent ad operations / account management in client & vendor meetings
  • Troubleshoot internal and client facing obstacles and campaign optimizations
  • Develop an inventory management system
  • Implement processes to create workflow efficiencies
  • Identify and develop best practices from both a creative and technical perspective
  • Focus on client retention, growth, renewal, and client satisfaction
  • Aid in ad program packaging based on historical performance and trends
  • Act as thought leader around campaign targeting and data. Use various analytics data to help storytell campaign performance
  • Build a team of account managers to develop wrap reports, strategic insights and coach their ability to share ongoing learnings with clients
  • Collaborate with leadership and product management to develop and innovate new ad formats, pricing and measurement
  • Partner with finance to ensure campaign delivery and invoicing are accurate
  • Thorough understanding of all internal Brit + Co systems and act as point person for all requests related to ad operations and campaign delivery

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of digital media experience (agency, publisher, vendor)
  • Ad Trafficking (including but not limited to DFP, Atlas, Brightcove)
  • Familiarity with 3rd party tags, viewability, privacy concerns, IAB terms, FTC regulations and overall best practices within digital & social media
  • Proficient in Excel & Google Docs
  • Experience managing direct reports
