Purpose:

We are seeking a stellar Director of Campaign Marketing to drive strategy, planning, execution of marketing campaigns at Clickatell. In this role, you will manage and oversee marketing campaigns to positively impact acquisition, conversion, engagement and retention of Clickatell customers. This role will work closely with stakeholders from sales, product and marketing teams across our global locations. The role is a terrific opportunity for a bold marketer to accelerate Clickatell’s global momentum. The ideal candidate has experience in providing hands-on management and serves as the hub for the planning, building, running, measurement and optimization of marketing campaigns, plans and revenue. You will report to the CMO.

The role of our Champion:

  • Grow, lead and manage a high performing marketing team that drives global campaigns. This team is responsible for driving efforts to the central strategic decision making function to grow Clickatell's brand, taking marketing objectives and developing strategic briefs and marketing plans to drive tangible business results.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, creative, and product teams to develop and implement high-impact, multi-channel marketing campaigns that generate demand and grow Clickatell’s customer base.
  • Build and track sales forecasts for Enterprise and Mid-market sales and drive campaigns to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • This team takes top level strategic marketing objectives and leverages insights and research to produce strategic plans and campaign briefs to bring the brand to life in our most valuable markets around the world. Campaign managers then take these briefs through to being full-formed omni-channel campaigns that are shipped and iterated at breakneck speed.
  • We’re looking for a strategic thinker who can tackle ambiguous problems, bring definition and clarity to define a global marketing strategy, as well as translate strategy into company-wide operational initiatives. Key to this person’s success will be their ability to drive cross-company collaboration and influence key decisions, bringing internal and external stakeholders on a journey to realise a world class brand strategy. They will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to build and manage global teams when extra resources are required.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Own Clickatell's audience segmentation, personas and target audiences and aligning the goals and objectives toward these global audiences.
  • Partner and align with Product, Product Marketing, Demand Gen Marketing, ABM, Design and PR to clarify our strategic direction and priorities.
  • Develop creative briefs for a variety of teams to initiate development and execution of the global marketing plan.
  • Maintain and optimize the Clickatell website and other online touch points to highlight our brand, product offerings, marketing initiatives, events and thought leadership.
  • Work with Marketing Communications on global messaging strategy and the Creative Director to localize brand guidelines for key markets to ensure consistent user experience and brand goals.
  • Be responsible for and execute on the campaign calendars to ensure email, social and web content is delivered on time, brand and message.
  • Manage internal and external people resources, budgets and deliverables for website, marketing automation, email, social and project management.
  • Plan and manage quarterly and annual budgets for your department.
  • Provide detailed reporting on lead acquisition, demand generation, engagement and retention across channels and product lines.
  • Maintain and optimize the Clickatell website and other online touch points to highlight our brand, product offerings, marketing initiatives, events and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with Clickatell stakeholders on ABM campaigns, webinars, events/field marketing, content creation (blog, eBooks, guides, reports) and third-party programs as called upon.
  • Be curious, research and experiment with new and/or underused channels to reach prospective Clickatell customers globally.
  • Be the subject matter expert on digital tools and techniques to accomplish business objectives per department KPIs.
  • Set ambitious objectives for your team and help them succeed in achieving their key results.

Requirements

Our Champion's journey thus far:

  • 5+ years of experience in leading/managing channel/demand generation focused marketing teams
  • BA/BS in marketing, business or related field preferred
  • Excellent grasp of marketing automation, email, social marketing, website metrics, digital analytics strategies and best practices
  • Proven experience with Marketing automation tools (e.g, Hubspot, Marketo), Salesforce CRM, email marketing automation tools
  • Experience in B2B digital marketing at a SaaS/technology company is a huge plus
  • Highly effective written and spoken communication skills with ability to influence staff within the department and across the organization.
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail
  • An astute problem solver, with well-developed quantitative and analytical skills
  • Thrives in a high energy, fast growth environment
