Director, Demand Generation

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Demand Generation Director, a new role at ActionIQ, created to own the overall strategy and execution of our demand generation programs to drive top-line growth. You will manage an array of programs that effectively reach ActionIQ’s different buyer personas and drive those individuals through the marketing and sales funnel, building and influencing a combined marketing & sales outreach strategy. You will be analytically minded and able to report program success based on funnel metrics, including opportunities and wins. You will work closely with marketing stakeholders, sales, and customer success to ensure programs are timely, creative, measurable, flawlessly executed, and drive revenue.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can hit the ground running and leverage their experience to build out our demand generation function. A successful candidate will be analytical, results-driven, sales-focused, have an understanding of marketing systems, and be able to balance testing new demand generation strategies and tactics with scaling the programs that work effectively, all in an effort to achieve the best results for the business. This role will sit in our NYC HQ.


  • Design and implement differentiated, high-impact programs that are optimized to deliver results across the marketing and sales funnel while hitting target metrics, including leads, pipeline, and ROI on campaigns
  • Lead the development, execution and optimization of all demand generation campaigns across all funnel stages, working with event and content marketing to coordinate touch points within campaigns and across the customer journey
  • Lead our account-based marketing efforts by working with sales to identify top target accounts, building highly customized campaigns that improve conversion rates and move those accounts forward, and then coordinating across other marketing functions to execute a comprehensive program
  • Forecast, measure, analyze and report on the impact of demand creation activities on sales pipeline and revenue
  • Manage key business metrics including MQLs, Pipeline Generated, Qualified and Won Opportunities, and work across the marketing and sales teams to improve performance against these metrics
  • Understand and oversee the management of the flow of leads through the lead lifecycle across the various funnel stages and operational processes (e. capture, nurture, score, distribute, close)
  • Manage demand generation project timelines and ensure timelines are executed on time, from scheduling to design, production, and distribution
  • Communicate up, down and across the organization to ensure the best business outcomes from every Demand Gen priority and investment; Serve as the point person for the Sales team to educate and inform them of all programs, providing detailed instructions for promotion, execution, and follow-up


  • 5-8 years of experience in a fast-paced demand generation environment, preferably in B2B enterprise marketing tech industry
  • Proven track record of successfully building demand gen programs from scratch and measuring and improving effectiveness of demand generation efforts at each level of the funnel (MQL, SQL, Opportunities, Pipeline)
  • Successful experience collaborating with Marketing & Sales to drive targeted account-based strategies and deliver tight messaging through multiple communication channels (email, direct mail, digital, phone) for target audiences
  • Expert in lead scoring, nurturing programs, list management, cleansing, segmentation and targeting
  • Hands-on experience with Hubspot and Salesforce for marketing automation and lead management
  • Creativity to build innovative programs that engage prospects and optimize marketing dollars
  • Data driven marketer who has developed shared measurement and tracking of demand generation programs for marketing and sales
  • Big picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail; ability to understand the overall business and marketing strategy, translate that into a demand generation strategy and then execute with precision and accuracy
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectiveness of marketing campaigns across the business and provide recommendations for pipeline growth
  • Excellent planning, project management, prioritization, and presentation skills
  • Able to work in fast paced work environment, while juggling both short and long term priorities along with daily demands
  • Positive and flexible attitude for working in a fast-paced environment and across various departments and functions
  • Understanding of LinkedIn Advertising, Google Ads, and Google Analytics is a plus
