About the position

Do you love, love, love, event planning?  Do you really care about company culture, people development, inclusivity, and authenticity?  We are looking for an innovative leader to meticulously plan and execute a global events strategy at Showpad.

In a post-covid world, you will plan and create hybrid virtual/in-person experiences that engage and drive meaningful conversations with current and  prospective customers. You will play a pivotal role in leading the direction and redefinition of b2b SaaS events that challenge convention.   Additionally, you will craft experiences that drive product education, platform adoption, and advocacy with our customers.  The “show” must go on--will you be a part of it?

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop the strategy and lead the execution of our annual flagship industry event franchise, Transform, and create a framework for hybrid in-person/virtual field strategy. 
  • Partner with GTM teams to plan and execute Showpad’s events.  Including content development, programming speaking engagements, production, and event programming. 
  • Assist sales and marketing in determining which trade shows are strategically critical based on ICP, personas, and market opportunity. 
  • Own project management tools, documentation, event calendar, and process used for managing Event Marketing programs & experiences.
  • Manage strategic industry association memberships and determine participation in co-marketing initiatives. 
  • Establish and proactively manage the events budget.  Create a performance reporting structure that allows for quick pivots based on performance (closed/won opportunity data capture, and campaign metric tracking). 
  • Work cross-functionally with team leads and executive sponsors to integrate events into each part of the marketing lifecycle. 
  • Develop a calenderized event marketing plan in partnership with the Global Revenue team, Sales (BDR/SDR), Customer Success, Corp, Product & Partner Marketing.
  • Evangelize Showpad; with the ability to travel across the US and internationally (post-COVID).

 Required Skills

  • 5+ years B2B event marketing experience 
  • You are genuinely interested in listening first, understanding others and bringing out the best in your colleagues
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented with an ability to manage resources, budgets, and teams
  • 30-40% travel required for events (post-covid)
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional partner. You are great at building relationships, connecting the dots between different teams, and keeping everyone on the same page with clear and regular communication
  • Provocative idea generator, resourceful, self-starter, comfortable working autonomously with a strong sense of urgency and work ethic
  • Proven success in managing external vendors and suppliers
  • Marketing Tech expertise: SFDC, Marketo and event tech preferred
