As the Director of Global Fleet Management at Lucid, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the design, development, and management of our global fleet. This includes a diverse range of vehicles, from engineering and company cars to service loaners, marketing vehicles, and utility vehicles. Reporting initially to the CFO, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Marketing, Sales & Service, and the Management Car Program (HR), as well as administrative partners in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Payroll, Legal, Facilities, Insurance, and Remarketing.
The Role:
- Develop and Implement Global Policies: Lead the development and implementation of global policies and procedures for the effective utilization, oversight, and management of Lucid's fleet, ensuring compliance and efficiency across testing vehicles, company cars, and utility vehicles.
- Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of direct reports, and formulate a staffing and training plan that ensures the successful management of Lucid's diverse fleet of vehicles.
- Data Management and Reporting: Establish and maintain a comprehensive database for all company fleet vehicles, including relevant vehicle statistics such as mileage and VINs.
- Fleet Management Analytics: Oversee the development of Fleet Management analytics to drive efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives, leveraging data to inform strategic decisions.
- Strategic Planning: Work with stakeholders across Lucid to understand vehicle requirements and develop long-range plans for the size and composition of the Lucid vehicle fleet.
- Budget: Develop and set budgeting parameters for the acquisition and cost-efficient disposition of the company fleet, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of comprehensive leadership experience overseeing complex programs, personnel, and assets.
- Ability to think analytically and develop and implement policies and processes that enhance fleet management effectiveness.
- Proven ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.
- Experience communicating effectively using data-driven storytelling and insights, with strong presentation skills at various organizational levels.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to foresee and mitigate risks appropriately.
- Well-developed analytical and technical competencies, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Moderate travel may be required to effectively manage the global fleet program.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
· California (Bay Area) - $185,000-$264,000
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
