Job Overview

Casper is looking for a Director to lead our Global Marketing Analytics team. The Director will report to the VP of Data and Analytics. On day 1 the Director will manage Casper’s already high performing US Marketing Analytics team

The Director will have the following goals:

  • Define the long term road map (people, process and technology) of the Global Marketing Analytics team to support overall business goals
  • Own the Global Marketing Analytics P&L
  • Expand and specialize the US team. Our goal is to partner a Marketing Analytics team member with each Channel Manager on the Customer Acquisition team
  • Build an equally amazing Marketing Analytics team in Europe
  • Implement and champion analytics best practices (e.g., code reviews) and a cohesive, standardized approach
  • Continue to evolve the team’s technical skills. We use a combination of SQL, Excel, Python and R (R and Python proficiency varies within the team)

Marketing Analytics team responsibilities include:

  • Own and continue to developing our various attribution models for online and offline spend
  • Conduct deep dive analysis on spend, portfolio mix and performance to drive marketing strategy
  • Partner with the Channel Managers to optimize within each channel
  • Understand and measuring all stages of the customer acquisition funnel from awareness to transaction
  • Unearth actionable insights through both qualitative and quantitative research and provide optimization recommendations for future execution
  • Create and maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly campaign performance reports to provide key learnings and feedback (trends, patterns, irregularity) for the Marketing team
  • Recommend budget allocations based on analytics and KPI reports
  • Analyze site performance, identify areas to optimize and execute A/B tests in partnership with Casper’s Growth Team


  • 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist
  • Expert in Excel, SQL and web analytics tools / platforms (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)
  • Strong in either Python or R
  • Experience with multi-touch attribution as well as digital and offline acquisition channels
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership qualities
  • Flexible, adaptable, able to work in an entrepreneurial environment
