As the Director, Marketing Communications - Ad Tech you will lead marketing initiatives both internally and externally. This role will help craft the Concert, ad and data products go-to-market positioning and strategy, helping to build the Concert brand and Vox Media's product offerings within the advertising, tech and media industry.  The ideal candidate for this role should be a bold, creative thinker, excellent communicator, motivated, and able to tie marketing initiatives back to business objectives. This position will report to the Executive Director, Portfolio Marketing and will be based in New York. 

Responsibilities:

Own the go-to-market strategy for the Concert brand and Vox Media's suite of advertising and data products.

  • Develop and execute against a strategic marketing plan leveraging all relevant touch points including events (i.e. Cannes, Newfronts, CES), presentation materials, Concert website, PR, thought leadership forums, and partnerships
  • Work with sales, strategy, and publisher development teams to drive consideration, positive brand perception, and increase overall B2B revenue through any and all brand building tactics
  • Collaborate with events to create big, innovative go-to-market moments
  • Distill complex media, advertising, and technology concepts into clear and simple marketing outputs
  • Build consensus among company leadership and relevant stakeholders to drive forward marketing initiatives to completion
  • Oversee project timelines including budgets, materials production, copy, design, and execution
  • Collaborate with corporate communications to align external messaging opportunities with important marketing efforts

Basic Qualifications

  • 6-8 yrs. in marketing, media or consulting
  • Strong executional abilities, with proven ability to manage projects that span content, digital/social, advertising, video, events, PR and collateral production
  • Big appetite for diving into complex concepts, defining value propositions, and championing the voice of Concert and our ad technology platform
  • Strong interest in digital/social marketing, with a proven track record for digital engagement
  • Understanding of ad technology and content marketing distribution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated eye for design and creative taste level
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship development and leadership skills 
  • Collaborative nature and deep interest in culture, high-quality journalism, and high-quality technology; highly motivated by insatiable desire to make great things
