About the Team:

The Customer Success team comprises two key groups: our Product Specialist group, consisting of highly trained product experts, and our Account Managers, who provide strategic guidance to our diverse clientele, ranging from Fortune 1000 businesses to leading financial institutions worldwide.

Our primary focus within the Customer Success team is to act as value-added partners to our clients. We approach each interaction with a highly consultative mindset, dedicated to resolving client challenges through our product offerings. Our relentless devotion to our customers drives us to ensure they have access to the most relevant data to inform their decision-making process.

About the Role: 

The Director of Account Management oversees a team of Account Managers tasked with achieving and surpassing dollar renewal rates through renewals while expanding relationships within their accounts. 

We seek a data-driven Director with robust leadership and management skills to lead the expansion of our Account Management Team, playing a crucial role in guiding AlphaSense’s business success forward.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Directly lead a team of Account Managers tasked with achieving and surpassing dollar renewal rate targets through renewals and identifying growth opportunities, working in partnership with AE’s to close deals. 
  • Drive successful customer outcomes by increasing renewal rates, reducing churn, expanding revenue through deeper relationships with our accounts, and enhancing future lifetime value through higher product adoption.
  • Recruit and develop top talent for your team by partnering with recruiting and HR business partners, implementing best practices, call coaching, and establishing a culture of accountability across the team.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategies that drive successful growth outcomes, ensuring seamless integration to maximize revenue and client satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, account management, or client success, including at least 5 years of direct people management experience
  • High aptitude and willingness to learn, with the ability to acquire necessary technical knowledge on the job due to our diverse client base.
  • Proven experience operationalizing the customer journey.
  • Energetic, creative, and motivated with the ability to learn quickly, adapt, and contribute to an entrepreneurial team culture.
  • Superior ability to develop rapport with new people and maintain relationships, with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization, especially under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel as needed. 
  • Ability and interest to work autonomously, and for a small fast-growing company. We are looking for highly motivated, proactive individuals who can make the role their own and play a significant role in the company’s success.

Base Compensation Range*:  $166,000 - $180,000 

Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
