As the Director of Brand Ambassadors, you will have the opportunity to develop our brand strategy as well as begin the process of identifying and recruiting brand ambassadors.  Additionally, the role will take the lead on community management events and building a team of individuals to manage our ambassador marketing over time. We are looking for an individual to build a stellar internal team to help execute on our strategy in creating consumer awareness, develop interest with our partner ecosystem, and educate the marketplace about what Helix is doing.

As the Director of Brand Ambassadors for Helix, you will:

  • Build a team of brand ambassadors from the ground up and identify, negotiate, and manage these brand ambassadors
  • Develop internal processes to track campaign results and successes
  • Establish a brand strategy and execute the vision through the brand ambassadors
  • Manage our social media strategy including the delivery of content created by, or in collaboration with, brand ambassadors. Strategy includes paid, earned (organic) and shared social media efforts to build brand/partner engagement and drive adoption.
  • Manage all events related to our ambassador and developer communities.

Required background:

  • 8-10+ years experience in ambassador marketing, sports marketing, social media, and partner management
  • A proven track record of building and managing a team of brand ambassadors, and has led successful brand campaigns
  • Must have strong analytical marketing skills and ability to set KPI’s for team and ambassadors
  • Must have exceptional relationship skills and persuasion to ensure the success of our ambassador program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to inspire a team
  • Expertise building partner readiness for launch and on-going marketing support of these partners
  • Able to quickly grasp complicated scientific / technical topics and translate into communications appropriate for multiple audiences (with support from company's technical teams)
  • Comfortable working with executive team and stepping into a leadership role in marketing

An ideal candidate will have:

  • MBA or other advanced degree in marketing
  • Demonstrated experience launching a new category, educating customers why they need a new product
  • Experience working for a professional sports team or a brand with large number of paid ambassadors
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
