Sr. Manager of Business Development Operations will lead cross-functional efforts within the company to establish and run efficient processes to position for and capture new business. This position reports to the VP of Business Development and works with a range of company staff including Business Development, Government Relations, Engineering, Finance to set and achieve new business goals.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage front end of business operations to ensure organization is able to execute organizational goals and objectives
  • Drive transformational initiatives to overhaul and streamline business operations practices and increase efficiency
  • Develop and administer the opportunity pipeline to ensure data is up to date with latest outlook and business AOP goals are achieved
  • Build and maintain active opportunity list using sources and tools to identify and track postings from sam.Gov and other channels
  • Drive capture excellence through consistent milestone reviews, materials, resources, and pipeline management
  • Build and maintain a new business document and proposal library
  • Lead annual planning to include development and implementation of functional strategy and growth objectives
  • Drive focused analyses on key business and customer metrics to enable data-driven decisions
  • Oversee customer relations by leading the development and execution of multi-level customer contact plans and tradeshow operations
  • Collaborate across functions (Finance, PMO, Engineering) to ensure organization is integrated in the pursuit of new business opportunities

Minimum Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • 5-10 years’ experience in US DOD industry
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Foundation in business operations, finance, and analytical roles
  • Strong communication and teaming skills
