About the role

Reporting directly to our Cofounder, the Director of Content will take the helm of what is already one of the top content and instructional design teams in New York City and lead the charge on all content initiatives as it relates to the Grovo learning solution. You will be expected to curate a performance-driven culture directed toward continuous improvement and inspire the team to produce best-in-class, award-winning content that will resonate within the market and separate us from our competitors.

The Director of Content will not only wield a sharp and savvy business acumen but also have a deep understanding of the trending digital landscape and its ever changing types of content.  Ultimately, this individual must be able to mesh together Grovo's product principles with our creative language to create and deliver the most effective learning methods for the learning needs of today’s workplace.

Workplace learning is in desperate need of category redefinition. Grovo believes that the training that employees consume online needs to be efficient, yet instructive and thought-provoking. Grovo’s software platform delivers this content has the power of enterprise software, with a consumer-like learner experience that seamlessly fit into people’s lives.

Your challenges

By next year, you will have:

  • Expanded and solidified the content organization
  • Defined clear, actionable metrics and KPIs that align with business objectives and inspire the team
  • Defined a long-term vision and roadmap for content coverage and innovations
  • Developed the strategy, approach, and capabilities to build high quality, cost-efficient content at scale
  • Developed critical points of views and lead execution on:
    • Content partnerships
    • Content integrations
    • Content as a Service (CaaS)
    • Content automation
  • Become a proactive, vocal, cross-functional member of Grovo’s leadership team

Your background

What we’re looking for:

  • You have been promoted through the ranks at a top-tier company
  • You have taken innovative approaches to consumer facing content
  • You have built content for mobile that accommodates today’s human experience
  • You have 8+ years of proven success building and leading content teams
  • You have a strong, proven business background with experience making strategic decisions at the executive level
  • You have a strong presence and are able to inspire/unite a team behind a vision
  • You act in a way that demonstrates respect and empathy while being direct and fair
  • You’re able to solve problems through implementing and scaling effective and efficient processes
  • Willing to live in NYC
