Aeva is transforming autonomy with its groundbreaking sensing and perception technology that integrates all key LiDAR components onto a silicon photonics chip in a compact module. Role Overview:
As Director, Corporate Development, you will play an important role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, including responsibility for identifying strategic opportunities and priorities. The role will report to the CFO and work cross-functionally with senior leadership across the company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technology, automotive and/or industrial industries, wide network of industry contacts as well as a proven track record of execution.

What you'll do:

  • Research, monitor and provide analysis on market dynamics, technology trends and competitor activity
  • Identify, evaluate and prioritize growth and strategic opportunities
  • Support assessment and alignment of product portfolio and roadmap towards execution of company’s strategic objectives
  • Steer implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Maintain network and relationships with industry contacts, investment bankers and advisors
  • Assist in ad-hoc or special projects and initiatives

What you have:

  • 10+ years of experience at a top-tier investment bank, private equity and/or corporate development within technology, automotive and/or industrial industries
  • Deep understanding of market landscape, technology and competitors relevant to Aeva
  • Track record of driving strategic and growth initiatives that yield successful outcomes
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities, including modeling and valuation analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple ongoing projects and meet deadlines in a highly dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel
  • BA/BS degree in Finance or related field

Nice to have:

  • MBA, CFA, CPA or relevant financial accreditations
  • Experience in semiconductor and/or automotive industry
