Our product and engineering teams work as one to create industry changing software. We need a Director of Engineering that loves products, customers, and building high performing engineering teams. You'll be perfect for this role if you have strong tech skills, thrive in an agile environment, and have real-world experience as a hiring manager for software developers within a fast-paced early-stage venture.
An engineering director at Social Tables is not generally expected to write code on a day-to-day basis, but is responsible for their organization’s overall technical competence, guiding and growing that competence in the whole team as necessary via training and hiring. They should have a strong technical background and spend some of their time researching new technologies and staying abreast of trends in the tech industry.
Directors - Lead one or more teams by directing allocation, professional development and project success. Ensure that the company culture, development process and best practices are followed. Mentor teams in software development and process. Provide timely, frequent, and constructive feedback. Hire and level-up personnel as needed to meet product goals.
Mission - Builds teams that build amazing software. Reports to the VP of Engineering and works closely with Product Owners & stakeholders to execute on shared goals. Ensures that engineering resources are well allocated to meet ambitious product development goals. Creates teams and processes that work well together to achieve exceptional results. Hire, direct and develop high potential high performing engineers.
