Pollen curates the best experiences for young people with a mix of the world’s leading entertainment brands - including Live Nation, AEG, React Presents, Avant Gardner, Printworks - and own-brand experiences that we create, perfectly tailored to the customer preferences of our members and their friends - our travel brands include Campus Vacations, SWAT, Lifestylez.
We have recently launched a number of co-curated travel products by partnering with major artists and promoters, and have had incredible success in a short space of time. We have launched a number of trips in Europe, including The Streets, Terminal V, We Are Festival, and in the US with Electric Zoo, and we have a large and exciting pipeline for the next six months.
As Head of Insights you will be responsible for spearheading the data-driven decisions the business needs to make to scale the curated travel part of our business. You will be joining an entrepreneurial team within the wider business who are responsible for both helping determine Pollen’s strategic direction and making those plans a reality. You will be the first hire in this important part of our business, which we hope to scale significantly over the next 12 months.
You should be whip-smart, analytical, able to apply yourself to a multitude of tasks, and a brilliant communicator.
Requirements
Develop a strong understanding of the customer
As we scale our platform we are acquiring information on young people's preferences that no one else has. In this role, you will be responsible for being the “voice of the customer” using data as the foundation for all business decisions.
Excel at executing strong quantitative and qualitative analysis
In this role, you will design and execute complex market research projects using a range of quantitative and qualitative methods. You should have a strong grasp of analytical tools for both analysing and presenting your findings in a clear and concise manner, including but not limited to Excel and PowerPoint. You will have access to a team of analysts if needed to deliver compelling quantitative and qualitative research, which in turn will inform all business decisions.
Build out the Insights Team to be a high performing team
As we scale, Insights will become increasingly turnkey to our business. We are looking for a potential future leader in our business to lead the development and growth of the Insights team. In that role, you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring more junior team members and building the profile of the Insights team in the business.
Build an insights “muscle” within the company to drive data-driven decisions
We want to build an insights “muscle” within the company, so to be successful in this role, the individual will need to be able to work with key stakeholders to build processes that integrates data into all decisions.
Excel at stakeholder management
In this role, you will be expected to work across multiple teams - at any one point managing multiple cross-functional insights projects. To be successful, you will need to be able to manage multiple stakeholders all the way up to the C-level.
