Helix has raised over $100 million from Warburg Pincus and Sutter Hill Ventures in our first round of funding and have a strategic partnership with Illumina that brings us a significant competitive advantage.

We are building scientific operations to help ensure that our customers purchase high-quality products through the Helix ecosystem. As the Director of Genomic Products, you will be an integral part of the scientific leadership team and drive initiatives to build and continuously improve our ability to offer high quality and scientifically valid products to our customers.

What will your role look like:

  • Manage a scientific team focused on launching high quality and scientifically valid products on the Helix ecosystem.
  • Work with the partner scientific leadership to improve the scientific content of partner products over time
  • Development of processes and operations that allow for efficient assessment of scientific content on the Helix ecosystem
  • Drive continuous accumulation of Helix’s knowledge across a multitude of scientific areas.
  • Develop and recruit a team of strong scientists

What we're looking for:

  • A scientific leader with a passion for improving people’s lives through access to information about their DNA.
  • 10+ years of post-PhD scientific leadership, in industry and /or academia.
  • Strong intuition for high-quality consumer experiences enabled by science content
  • Exceptional track record of success in communicating and collaborating with internal and external collaborators to drive projects to completion.  
  • History of successful implementation of novel scientific review processes with appropriate KPI’s in place to drive measurable business impact.
  • Experience in developing talent as well as building and motivating a team
  • Hands-on leader who thrives in a startup environment
