Our People Operations team is tasked with one of the company’s most important goals: preserving and driving Helix’s amazing culture.  We do this by creating a work environment where we uphold values like trust, transparency, and collaboration. We're looking for a Director of People Operations who will support the company and help define the broader talent strategy across the company. A successful candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment, has a passion for creating meaningful experiences, and builds strong relationships with leaders and employees. We are seeking an amazing HR leader to join the team and help grow our culture and company processes in keeping with our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Relentless and proactive focus on finding, retaining, and developing the best  talent to support the business strategy and changing needs, while helping to shape and grow a great culture at Helix
  • Actively partner, coach and develop leadership team members, managers,  and individuals
  • Understand the needs of the team and makes recommendations regarding recognition and rewards programs; develop and manage compensation initiatives
  • Partner with Recruiting to ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience and work with Recruiting to drive acquisition of top talent and diversity in hiring strategies
  • Educate employees regarding local benefits such as leave policies, social benefits and parental rights
  • Ensure HR system record-keeping and compliance with employment regulations
  • Respond to employee questions and provide advice when it makes sense
  • Create necessary people analytics to help lead the business and advise leadership
  • Partner with executives and managers on employee performance management
  • Promote a culture of feedback and open communication
  • Share knowledge appropriately and proactively look for ways to raise the bar

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a fast-paced, growth environment with startup and large organization experience
  • You have an advanced degree or related experience (bachelor's degree minimally required)
  • Experience supporting groups spread across multiple geographic sites
  • Track record of being an HR business partner to executives across a variety of functional areas
  • Unquestioned integrity and commitment to building a mission-driven organization
  • Excellent communications and relationship-building skills to support
  • Ability to work at strategic and tactical levels as needed
  • Leadership presence and confidence to work with a range of levels and employee groups
  • Well-developed employee relations skills to effectively resolve sensitive employee issues
  • Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn and grow
  • Self directed but also great at collaborating with employees at all levels and with many different teams
