Director of Product Design

We're looking for an energetic Director of Product Design to help us make financial services simpler, better and more appealing for hard working people. Someone with the skills and the passion to improve our existing product, shape exciting new ones, and lead us to the forefront of new markets around the world. You will report directly to the COO/Co-founder and work with the cross-functional Leadership Team, with the opportunity to shape the future of TransferGo products.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervise all aspects of User Experience design;
  • Shape our customers’ experience through intuitive, appealing products; 
  • Advocate for user experience and usability;
  • Collaborate on implementing and maintaining Product Roadmaps;
  • Hire and inspire a team of designers embedded in independent cross-functional squads;
  • Champion the use of qualitative and quantitative user data to support new product discovery and optimisation;
  • Establish principles of experimentation, testing and strong QA practices;
  • Implement a refreshed brand identity;
  • Ensure the consistency of our design language and brand expression;
  • Help designers do their best work and level up.

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You’ve managed a team of 4+ designers;
  • You’re a coach first and a manager second;
  • You’re product-minded and intensely customer-focused;
  • You have an exceptional eye for elegant design and carry that obsession all the way from top-level strategy down to the last pixel;
  • You’re familiar with both web and mobile patterns;
  • You’re a skilled communicator and know how to work with independent teams;
  • You’ve got some experience working with a CMS (e.g. WordPress, Webflow);
  • You’re always up to date with industry standards and best practices;
  • You have a strong knowledge of the Software delivery cycle, from Requirements Gathering and User Stories to Release management;
  • You’re fluent in English.

Additional points for:

  • Brand marketing experience.
