This Role Reports To: Vice President, Global Professional Sales, JVN Hair.


We are looking to hire a Director of Professional Sales preferably located in Greater Chicago and Greater Dallas.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Achieve personal and team sales objectives as measured quarterly and annually.
  • Manage all aspects of divisional budget, defining and recommending corrective actions as needed to maintain budget.
  • Contribute to the development of effective Sales education and development programs/methodologies.
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, active management, training and mentoring of divisional team of Sales Managers (other roles may be added in the future).
  • Overseeing the development and execution of business building plans to achieve division and partner sales objectives.
  • Analyze, plan, influence and implement decisions and plans. Working across functions in formal and informal teams.
  • Develop/submit accurate sales forecasts including basic, promotional and new business. Monitor performance against plan to identify needed course corrections.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver inspirational educational experiences for partners. This includes curating the approach (based on relationship needs) and demonstrating a strong understanding of our business and values.
  • Facilitate partner meetings and demonstrate interpersonal skills during the meeting (such as active listening), all while remaining adaptable, solution-orientated and aware of the partner’s unique position/level/needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner key decision makers and influencers to advance business opportunities within account(s).
  • Research, gather and evaluate Sales/Marketing data available to achieve various brand strategies.
  • Provide accurate and timely market, industry and competitive information to Sales management.
  • Build/deliver internal presentations for various meetings, trainings and events.
  • Role is remote and requires overnight travel and visits to various market areas (ranging from 50-75%, depending on seasonality and other factors).
  • Role may include international travel (as our business expands and evolves).
  • Ability to occasionally work weekends as needed.
  • Possesses a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

  • Data Analysis: Evaluates data to assess business implication and make sound recommendations.
  • Presentation Skills: Confident presenting to and educating groups of all types and sizes.
  • Financial Knowledge: Working knowledge of P&L management and industry math.
  • Creative: Ability to stimulate collaboration internally and externally to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Conflict Management: Works with partners and internal teams to achieve sometimes conflicting or controversial objectives.
  • Project and Time Management Skills: Able to manage multiple projects, and able to refocus priorities as the business dictates in a timely manner.
  • Computer Skills: Efficient and comfortable using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Concur and Google Documents/Sheets/Slides (to name a few).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and analytical ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years experience in a senior sales management position in the consumer products industry (preferably in luxury personal care products).
