The Director of Sales of Hired’s East region, reporting into the CRO, would lead and inspire a team of sales leaders on the East coast.  


  • Entrepreneurial ownership of a major sales territory for a fast-growing startup, including mentorship and motivation of a local and virtual team
  • Ongoing achievement of bookings and pipeline growth targets
  • Cross-functional teamwork to ensure that all customer commitments can be met
  • Offer a high level of service to represent us in the market, and be our “eyes and ears”
  • Demonstrate consistent and disciplined activity to maximize new business development and to ensure perpetual pipeline growth


  • 10+ years direct sales experience in a SaaS organization. Proven solution sales experience with a demonstrated ability to forecast, manage a pipeline, close deals, and exceed revenue goals
  • 6+ years of sales leadership experience
  • Recruit, mentor, inspire and train the team as well as support career development
  • Active listening skills and a genuine curiosity to uncover customer needs, solve complex situations, evaluation processes, and solution potential
  • Effective presenting, communicating, and selling effectively to senior level executives, on the phone and in person
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Confidence and experience managing contract/legal processes
  • Outstanding communication, organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • A passion for learning and an appreciation for how much there is to learn
  • Extensive experience working with Salesforce
  • Superior time management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel (40% of the time)
