Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy company, is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Director of Sales Operations and Analytics to join our Sales Operations team and provide direct support to our VP of Operations. The Director of Sales Operations and Analytics will ultimately be responsible for enhancing the team’s effectiveness by providing analytical expertise, leveraging continuous improvement best practices, ensuring decisions are captured and action items are completed , helping to create and iterate on structured processes where needed, and executing on strategic projects. The right candidate is someone who is process-oriented, provides analytical rigor, thrives on enabling people and teams to be maximally productive, is organized, and executes well in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full analytical and managerial support to the VP of Operations in a professional and consistent manner.
  • Transform vague concepts and tasks into well-documented and effective business metrics and insights.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement via technology, process, or systems enhancements.
  • Develop project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs.
  • Communicate across multiple business stakeholders and facilitate prioritization and resource allocation
  • Manage special projects related to key business initiatives with a goal to drive short and long term value while incurring minimal technical debt
  • Oversee the management, organization, and reporting of key organizational performance data and strategic planning documents.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of work experience in analytics or operations, preferably in a sales environment
  • High level of English proficiency (written and oral)
  • Experience leading analytical projects and guiding decision-making based on rigorous data analysis; 
  • Strong Excel skills required, SQL and Looker (or other visualization tools experience) is preferred
  • Extremely proactive and self-driven, with the ability to anticipate needs and find solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive analytical projects and improvements
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment capabilities
  • Highly organized, with the ability to simplify processes and create efficiencies for individuals and teams
