We’re hiring a (part-time/ fractional) Director of Tax Strategy who really LOVES researching and uncovering new tax saving opportunities and strategies! We need your expertise, to help us accomplish our mission as a company- - help our clients grow their revenue by $100 million.

We even built this counter to keep us accountable and measure our effectiveness in achieving this Mission.

The demand for our program is increasing and our company has been growing. We know our ability to achieve our $100 million dollar mission depends on the financial health of the company.

We need a tax saving CPA to collaborate with our Founder and leadership team to set a tax strategy, identify opportunities to reduce our tax liabilities and capture previously overlooked deductions.

Ultimately, you will own the number related to our tax liability and your goal is to reduce the amount we owe while remaining in good standing.

Finding the right CPA for this role is the company’s #1 priority.

We’ve been active online marketing practitioners for 8 years and have taught many Entrepreneurs how to grow their business. Now, we’ve built a Marketing System that is changing the industry.

You see, online courses are passive - so we’ve moved on from those. And traditional 1:1 coaching programs are lame - you jump on the phone with an “expert” every few weeks and are supposed to somehow implement what you heard by the next call with no real plan for doing so. Oh, and you pay a fortune for the privilege.

It was clear to us there was another way.

This role is important because without you we will not have the ability to continue expanding our company & coaching program. We have a burning need to maximize available tax deductions and credits so we can optimize our efficiency as a company and help more Entrepreneurs.

What will you learn in this role?

If you come from an Agency or corporate America, but crave collaboration, a faster paced environment and desire to help some of the most innovative, cutting edge entrepreneurs-you’ll love this role.

However, if risk, innovation and new processes you’ve never tried before seems intimidating or overwhelming, this role might be a bit uncomfortable.

There is 0 red tape at Growth Tools. We don’t care about how other people have always done things, how you have always done things or what anyone's SOP is. What we care about is: 1) you love what you do every day and wake up excited to do it; and 2) our clients' success.

We ruthlessly measure both of those on a daily basis.

In this role you will learn:

-How to be obsessed with continuous improvement by looking for opportunities to improve our tax liabilities, filings, reporting, and strategies

- How to be a hard core tactical and strategic Tax Saving CPA that loves being in the weeds creating strategies, creatively uncovering tax savings, learning from other similar businesses about their captured savings and working closely with our Founder and Finance lead

-All about Digital Marketing, Coaching and Influencer Industry

You’ll walk away from your time at Growth Tools having helped grow the most effective, fun and innovative coaching program the online marketing industry has ever seen.

Who will you work with?

You will report directly to Becca, our Interim CFO. You’ll also interact regularly with our Leadership team including Bryan Harris (Founder of Growth Tools).

Where will you work?

We all work remotely and are scattered around North America from Vancouver to Cleveland, and Nashville to Birmingham. That means you have the flexibility to work from home or a co-working location, or to take the family to Peru for the summer and work from your terrace overlooking Machu Picchu

We don’t micromanage. Rather, as a CPA, we expect you to be a self-starter, proactive in every way. You will be an “in-the-weeds” Accounting/ Tax practitioner and an essential contributor to our success

You will ultimately be responsible for 1 number as Tax Saving CPA:

  • Tax Liability

Your core areas of responsibility to achieve that number are:

1. Reporting & Compliance: At the end of each tax year, all tax filings, planning and reporting was executed in a timely manner; the business paid the least amount of taxes as possible and maximized the most credits/ deductions as possible

2. Collaborate with Finance and Founder: Proactive, collaborative communication with Founder and Becca to continually reduce Growth Tools Tax liability

3. Tax Saving Strategy: The tax saving strategy is developed and executed. This will allow Growth Tools to hit goals related to tax liabilities, compliance and reporting. Growth tools captures new tax reductions as a result of proactive financial planning

Growth Tools provides the tools and training to help online businesses double their revenue in 1 year. Our tools consist of 10 SaaS products that we give away for free. Our training consists of a Partnership Marketing Program, Unfair Advantage and One Day Year Coaching Intensive.

  • 5+ years small business CPA experience within an agency or organization
  • Proactive. Proactive. Proactive.
  • Personable and Direct
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures, regulation and compliance
  • Experience and understanding of Quickbooks accounting software
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
  • High integrity, with a sense of humor and doesn't take themselves to seriously
  • Fully knows and understands our company, our people and our industry
  • Responsive, replying promptly often within 24 hours
  • Knows Tennessee state law and tax law
  • Takes pride in your strategic, tax saving prowess, with examples of creative tax savings for other companies
  • Knows and understands business...the story….not just numbers and spreadsheets
