About the role: We are looking for a Director of Product Management to develop and lead the overall strategy and execution of LinkedIn's Marketplaces products. In this role, you will be leading a team of PMs focused on helping match Small Businesses with clients (Services Marketplace), and helping professionals connect with each other to give and get help (Knowledge Marketplace). This team will also be responsible for building a unified platform that can be leveraged by any future Marketplace as well as for identifying new use cases and target audiences for this platform. This role is perfect for a self-motivator who is willing to take an opportunity and use LinkedIn’s network and ecosystem of products to build a delightful member experience.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Grow and manage supply and demand for each marketplace
  • Hire and develop a strong product management team
  • Identify the narrative and positioning of Marketplaces within LinkedIn’s ecosystem of products
  • Solidify strategy and develop a comprehensive product roadmap
  • Lead analyses of competitive environment
  • Drive global product requirements definition, product planning and product design (including writing PRDs) of new features and enhancements
  • Work cross-functionally with various teams and within the larger Product Development team
  • Clearly communicate product benefits to our users and internal stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a product management or equivalent role

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • BS degree in a technology-related field
  • Prior direct team management experience
  • Proven experience building web products with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development and launch
  • Knowledge of the Internet, emerging web technologies and community building
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to interact with and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace
  • Relevant experience managing and leading highly cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
