Who?

Twilio is looking for a marketing leader to take our IoT business to the next level. Twilio is established as a thought leader in the IoT space, with the unique ability to deliver global reach for customer IoT deployments. We’re building on Twilio’s signature API-First approach by innovating in cellular connectivity for IoT developers.

We’re making IoT happen in fleet tracking, micromobility, healthcare, wearables, and more.

But we’re still at the start--we have huge dreams. We’re looking for a leader with a proven track record of scaling a platform business. In this role, you will own marketing strategy, planning, and execution. You are the type of person who wants to get in when there is momentum, but while the business is still in early stages. You are comfortable with change. So you love rolling up your sleeves to directly create the GTM motions, and you’re senior enough to be the marketing leader after your early work drives massive market success.

In this broad role, you will define and land messaging and work with every other marketing function to drive campaigns, website content, sales assets, and thought-leadership content. You will launch new products and work with press and analysts to tell the Twilio IoT story.

  • You can get things done. We want to talk about how you manage projects. You can get things done by yourself and through other teams.
  • You jump into the details and work through hurdles. You do what needs to get done. Most importantly, you think entrepreneurially.
  • You are technical--you like learning how to build things with your product and figuring out how best to demonstrate the benefits of the product. And you love spending time with the Product teams to understand our target opportunities and help influence the product roadmap needed to win.
  • You have domain experience and expertise in the IoT space--and a passion for it. We are looking for a leader in the IoT or embedded devices space--someone who has a demonstrated track record of achievement in marketing IoT platform-level products.
  • You know how to turn a story into a clear and confident takeaway. You are great at driving graphical representations of concepts.
  • You know how to enable and educate internal audiences about how to position competitively.
  • You can write. You are a person who loves to write and can write across a broad spectrum--from plans, to sales copy, to white papers, to blog posts.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, product marketing, or a related field.
  • Bachelor degree, with MBA preferred.

Bonus points:

  • You've worked with technology products that have targeted developers with cloud-based services, especially as horizontal platforms.
  • You have experience targeting multiple segments. In addition to developers, you've worked with technology products that have targeted enterprises via direct, online, and channel strategies.
  • You understand the global telecommunications provider ecosystem.

What?

  • Create and execute on the GTM strategy and plan, synchronizing every element across marketing and sales that is needed to drive success.
  • Own messaging, positioning, and the creation of value propositions that are truly competitively differentiated.
  • Work with demand generation teams to help create and execute the campaigns to achieve sales success--across the funnel from awareness to lead generation.
  • Have the technical skills and marketing sense to craft sales demo flows and scripts.
  • Have top-notch presentation skills so you can stand in front of any customer or executive and make the case for your products.
  • Manage product launches to ensure cross-discipline synchronization. Manage revenue impact. .
  • Work with the marketing and sales teams creating GTM strategy and tactics in support of events, content marketing, and case studies.
  • Own competitive analysis for your products, working with other marketing teams to create competitive assets.
  • Work in an environment that is always in motion--manage priorities so that you handle top priorities as they crop up, without losing momentum on your long term projects.
  • Manage full funnel reporting in collaboration with IoT Sales leadership
