As the Director, Program & Data Management for the Procurement Digital Transformation & Operations (DT&O) team you will play a vital role in overseeing the development and implementation of project management methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. Additionally, you will play a critical role in the procurement data management and governance process as we work to improve data completeness and accuracy which are key enablers to our digital and AI projects. This critical role will report directly to the VP of Digital Transformation and Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Management
- Develop, implement, and coach the DT&O teams to effectively develop, manage, and measure program plans and performance.
- Measure and report on key project milestones to ensure deliverable commitments are met and risks mitigated.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive program and process improvements.
- Lead the change management and implementation process to enhance financial & business performance.
- Support VP on key strategic deliverables and operational initiatives to drive results.
- Coach and mentor others to elevate program and data management skills.
Data Management / Governance
- Identify critical data elements, define and implement control processes to ensure data is accurate, complete, and protected.
- Support efforts to accelerate process improvements and update process/policies where needed to drive quality results / improvements.
- Create and enforce policies for effective data management and analysis.
- Lead efforts to clean and maintain data integrity, identifying data gaps or inconsistencies and addressing them systematically.
- Ensure that data from various procurement tools (e.g., supplier management, contract lifecycle management) is properly captured, stored, and utilized.
- Continuously assess and improve procurement data governance practices to adapt to evolving business needs, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
- Support the quality data collection process to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.
- Oversee the deployment of AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics tools to improve data processing, insights, and automation in procurement processes.
- Work collaboratively with other departmental data governance teams to ensure a cohesive approach, practice and governance process is implemented.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or supply chain with demonstrated program management skills and financial acumen, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Experience creating and enforcing policies for effective and measurable results.
- Experience in Data Management and Data Governance.
SKILLS:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of driving results and managing cross-functional initiatives to meet goals and objectives.
- Ability to hold others accountable to meet committed deliverables and ensure risks are identified and properly mitigated.
- Demonstrated program management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a structured way to meet deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify areas for improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.
