As Director of Sales, Programmatic Media, you will be responsible for Sales strategy evolution, fostering adoption, developing, and delivering omni-channel media plans for clients, helping them meet shoppers along the path to purchase via the Kroger Precision Marketing portfolio of programmatic digital solutions and exclusive 1st party data. The role will work with KPM Agency, Solution Design, Business Development and Account teams to ensure alignment of digital tactics to client objectives. You will also stay close to our Product Team to highlight new partnerships and evolving solutions, while delivering superior client satisfaction. To be successful you must understand the ever-changing Programmatic landscape as we deliver on our promise to become the industry’s preferred media company.

As a people leader, you will be responsible for organizing, equipping, and inspiring your team to deliver on revenue and engagement goals with excellence.  You will work across functions and business teams to unlock new opportunities and break down barriers, all with intent to empower your team to be as successful as possible.  You will have to balance your time between coaching talent and directly supporting them on client business.  You will also be expected to operate as an enterprise people leader, helping to support recruitment, talent development, and long-range career planning.

This job will focus on several key initiatives:

  • Leading and developing a programmatic sales team
  • Responsible for end-to-end sales strategy of Kroger Precision Marketing programmatic solutions with our clients and agency partners, creating a pipeline of new opportunities to activate
  • Partners with the KPM Sales team to drive the selling cycle with a portfolio of CPG clients
  • Develops strong client relationships and leads new business development for new stakeholders who influence advertising investment strategies
  • Drives deals to closure in a new business environment
  • Develops comprehensive account / territory plan that meets or exceeds revenue and market share, navigating complex organizational hierarchies
  • Identifies and solves for barriers with cross functional teams to ensure long term success
  • Identifies and partners with the product solution team to develop industry leading innovation that evolves our marketplace position
  • Utilizes Sales CRM tool to track all pertinent account information and sales progress as well as forecast and prioritize to achieve quarterly quota goals

 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The right person will thrive in a fast-paced environment and must possess the following:

Bachelors' degree B.A. / B.S or equivalent work experience

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience including at least 5+ years of Programmatic media sales
  • Previous experience developing and leading a high-performing sales team
  • Experience engaging various partners across marketing verticals, including Programmatic, Digital Media and Client Direct
  • Data to insights driven acumen; experience in using insights to influence decision making
  • Proven results of driving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Demonstrated self-starter skills; motivated by the challenge of the hunt
  • Up to 50% Travel
