Director, Wholesale Operations

About the Role

Minted is seeking a talented and passionate Director, Wholesale Operations to join our Supply Chain team. The Director will be accountable for managing our supply chain partnerships for our Wholesale business. They will leverage customer, sales and inventory data to ensure timely and accurate production and replenishment of product to wholesale partners. The Director will ensure we deliver high quality products that align with our brand and meet our wholesale partners’ expectations. The Director, Wholesale Operations is also responsible for managing to key margin and cost targets to ensure the company meets overall profitability goals. They successful candidate will enjoy “rolling up their sleeves” to make an impact and deliver results resourcefully.


Specific Responsibilities 

  • Manages day-to-day planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting for Wholesale Operations
  • Manages relationships with wholesale supply chain and operations partners
  • Confidently leads intra-department and external teams to project success through strong project management skills
  • Responsible for optimizing day to day order fulfillment to ensure sales are maximized
  • Manages KPIs successfully, including but not limited to cost per unit, cycle time, accuracy, speed and sales
  • Communicates professionally, effectively and eloquently through all forms of communication with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline operations and process improvements.
  • Manages inventory statuses and creates best-in-class process for replenishment orders
  • Partners with product and engineering teams to ensure roadmap priorities support wholesale scaling efforts. Operationalizes functionality to ensure full return on investment and operational efficiencies.

Experience and Skills

Experience: Ideal candidates have 6-8 years of experience in wholesale distribution; supply chain, operations, e-commerce and / or retail. Must have experience managing partnership relationships.

Strategic Insight: You understand the company’s strategic position and overall industry trends and use this information to build best in class supply chain strategies for Minted

Customer Advocacy: You are passionate about and care deeply for the Minted customer

Project management skills: You have outstanding follow-up, organization, and project management skills, and a track record of on-time delivery

Analytical Skills: You have significant experience developing financial models, capacity, production and distribution plans, and cost models to drive business decisions, prioritizing initiatives based on quantitative data, and are able to identify gaps in reporting or analysis needed to answer business questions

Ability to work with others: You have excellent interpersonal skills. You’re a good listener. You place the success of the company and supply chain ahead of any particular idea. You have experience working with employees at all levels of a company.

Strong communication skills: You are articulate and persuasive while able to listen and incorporate the perspectives of others.

Technology: You understand how e-commerce, retail and supply chain technology works and can use that knowledge to identify new technology partners or development projects that can enhance our ability to serve the customer

Leadership: You can balance and productively resolve contradictory demands and timelines in order to deliver against the company vision and goals.

Partner Management: You have experience managing partners to grow and support a business

Work ethic: You do what it takes to ensure every customer has a great experience with Minted, which involves working with cross-functional teams and sometimes making fast decisions. You are equally comfortable taking personal ownership for a task as delegating it.

Creativity: You love to solve problems large and small.
