For Sun King Energy Officers, this is not only a good source of income and employment but also they become an important member of their community bring light and catering to local energy needs within their communities.

The Role

Greenlight is rapidly launching its EasyBuy business model through large distribution partners around the world, including leading MFIs, mobile network operators and commercial retail distributors. Part business strategist, operations supporter and project manager, the EB Account Supervisor, EasyBuy job is to ensure Greenlight’s successful EasyBuy in-house business model encompassing product, pricing, field operations, customer service, credit management, backend operations, and information systems — can be adapted well to suit incoming partners’ organizations with a focus on growing small partners to become Key accounts. The EB Account Supervisor, supports the partner’s management teams to make key strategic decisions, guides implementation with multiple stakeholders in the partner’s organization and supports the partner’s leadership with on-going problem-solving and guidance to reduce the learning curve and ensure the partner can reach successful sales, customer and repayment results as quickly as possible. These responsibilities will be done with leadership from the Key Account Manager Easy Buy, for West Africa.

Key responsibilities 

  • Working closely with incoming partners to understand their organization and develop business models and execution plans
  • Pre-sales: Serving as the main implementation point of contact in pre-sales conversations, providing execution insight and guidance
  • Post-sales / pre-launch: once a partner is ready to implement PAYG offering, work directly with stakeholders across their organization to finalize implementation details and schedules. Working with the partner’s management to gain buy-in for plans and solve pre-launch execution issues. Setting implementation schedules and reviewing them frequently with partners, helping to mitigate implementation delays to ensure on-time launch
  • Post-launch guidance: conducting routine reviews with the partner’s leadership team to review progress on sales and operational results, ensuring partners are able to meet sales, customer and repayment objectives. Proactively identifying execution issues and working with partner’s teams to overcome them. Providing on-going support to help partners improve their PAYG business profitability and efficiency, including introducing best practices, new products, and new procedures
  • Leading continuous on-going engagement by providing/coordinating or facilitating training & on-ground activations, joint marketing efforts, field visits, workshops & learning sessions & superior after-sales services. 
  • Build strong subject matter expertise for pay-as-you-go solar product sales & engagements as well as build a team that can lead the business to scale quickly and achieve exponential growth year over year. 

The ideal candidate:

  • Is Bi-Lingual, has excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French. Malagasy is an added advantage. 
  • Has 3+ years’ experience in relevant areas such as Telecom account management, Business development, Bulk/Partnership Sales, channel distribution, Financial and/or product sales. (Pay-As-you-Go sales of solar products preferred) 
  • Has experience in product management with a Pay As You Go, provider, Telecom, FMCG or Financial services; account management in an enterprise technology business
  • Is a well-networked individual with entrepreneurial energy and passion to develop small businesses from grounds-up by scaling up in a short span of time
  • Is able to work alone and is a strong team player
  • Is able to effectively work cross-functionally across several geographies and regions
  • Is comfortable traveling 15+ days each month
