ECM: Area Manager

Wider Circle is looking for an Area Manager in California to join our circle and play a vital role in implementing our Enhanced Care Management program. 

The successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with our leadership team to manage our field team to deploy and operate the program. Successful candidates must possess excellent operations and organizational skills and the ability to manage a large group of remote associates. The goal of this role is to ensure operational support for the ECM program and drive member engagement and participation. Responsibilities include: 

  • Train and support Community Health Workers on activities related to building trust, promoting healthy behaviors, and engaging with their community
  • Organize new and ongoing training activities, both in the classroom and in the field, for staff
  • Engage our members, motivating them to attend community-based meetings
  • Create partnerships with local community-based organizations to bring additional services to the attention of our members.
  • Support field staff as they engage members to participate in our program with their neighbors
  • Lead field team in identifying members as potential Member Ambassadors. Once identified, support associates as they develop and launch the Member Ambassador Program
  • Monitor the success of the program by tracking group attendance and member feedback.
  • Create and maintain operating procedures and processes.

Provide operational leadership, including:

  • Maintaining operational metrics to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
  • Reviewing and analyzing operations to identify and implement program efficiencies
  • Planning and implementing initiatives that further the company’s operational goals
  • Creating and deploying training materials and learning opportunities
  • Maintaining schedules of field staff availability
  • Managing team hours and payroll

Provide additional leadership, including:

  • Scouting for and recruiting field staff, including Community Health Workers, through various methods (professional network, databases, email, social media, etc.)
  • Collecting information on the availability and skills of potential new hires
  • Producing schedules for daily, weekly, and monthly activities
  • Engaging staff in development efforts; identifying and planning all training, including delivery of educational programs and support groups; ensuring strong marketing and communication efforts

Requirements

  • Associate degree in management, healthcare-related field, or equivalent experience of at least two years
  • Experience in and understanding of a complex care environment 
  • Experience in operations and management
  • Basic knowledge of the role of the Community Health Worker
  • Volunteer experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extremely organized
  • History of strong team-building skills, including recruiting a team
  • Communicate effectively with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of Google Suite, SalesForce, and reporting databases
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese
