Electronics Technician 1st Shift

SRCTec, LLC is currently seeking a 1st shift Technician to support Depot manufacturing operations at our location in Syracuse, N.Y.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established test procedures and production processes to support daily manufacturing operations
  • Set up and utilize automated and manual test equipment (digital multimeters, spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, RF power meters, oscilloscopes)
  • Diagnose and correct complex system and equipment problems
  • Inspect and identify faulty components on circuit card assemblies
  • Troubleshoot RF, digital, and voltage failures of circuit card assemblies down to the component level
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to aid in the troubleshooting process
  • Perform solder rework of surface-mounted components on circuit card assemblies as needed
  • Accurately document test results, troubleshooting processes, and repair actions
  • Facilitate the manufacturing and production process through testing proprietary systems and sub-assemblies as needed
  • Complete assembly steps as required (rework and re-assembly) per work plan instructions.
  • May be working with part of a team or be independently

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and training from a technical trade school or military technical school and 3+years related experience.

OR

  • Associate’s degree in a technical specialty such as electronics technology and 1+years related experience.
  • Candidate must possess hands on skills with multi-meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum and network analyzers, and RF power meters.
  • Candidate must possess mechanical aptitude and have small tool skills
  • Candidate must be able to interpret and work from electronic schematics, blueprints, and test specifications/instructions.
  • Candidate must have solid computer skills to include the use of MS Office, Internet browsers and the use of Linux command line is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate time management skills and to solve problems independently
  • A background in Radio Frequency (RF) theory and/or operation is a plus
  • IPC J-STD-001 Solder certification is a plus

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $24 to $27/hour. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
