EMEA Finance Controller

Dublin, Ireland

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, curious, and analytical leader to help us achieve our operational and financial goals while embodying our company values.  You will join a world-class Finance team as our first Finance and Accounting hire in Dublin.  You will be involved in all general accounting functions in EMEA, which include performing a timely month-end close process, variance analysis, financial reporting and statutory compliance across all our EMEA entities. The right candidate will streamline financial and operational processes, including implementation of new systems & processes to accommodate rapid growth and have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.  The candidate will also act as our finance lead in the EMEA region, supporting our S&M and R&D functions. 

 

You have exceptional leadership, collaboration and communication skills and desire to help drive business goals in a matrix organization.. . You are a process improver that can easily pick up the high level business goals and apply them to the finance and accounting operations. You also possess knowledge in international consolidations, have the ability to work with foreign currencies and have strong attention to detail.

 

What you’ll achieve

  • Prepare entity level financial statements
  • Preparing financial statements and presentation for quarterly board meetings
  • Ensure accounting and financial controls are applied consistently throughout the region
  • Manage and comply with local government reporting requirements and tax filings across all EMEA entities
  • Work directly with auditors for group and statutory audits
  • Build a strong collaborative relationships  with our US Finance Teams across Accounting, Tax and FP&A
  • Work closely with US Finance teams for annual budget planning
  • Work closely with the US based Head of Revenue and Global Deal Desk abd Revenue team to review revenue impacting contract terms from EMEA sales contracts
  • Add input into Compensation plan design for EMEA sales team
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Ad hoc finance and accounting project work as required
  • Responsibility for recruitment, goal-setting, performance management, and identifying training and development needs for future EMEA Accounting Team 

 

About you

  • Minimum 8 years progressive finance/accounting experience required
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of key accounting concepts, GAAP, IFRS, SOX controls
  • Strong finance background with experience working in a tech finance function an advantage
  • Experience leading a high performing team
  • Ability to be flexible, influence, and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs
  • High degree of organisation and efficiency with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented, especially for internal teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners
