About Team

• The PFM team within the tech organization is building the next generation of personalized financial management products using AI. It sits at the intersection of data and all aspects of financial behavior associated with Jupiter users ranging from spending, saving and borrowing, to investing and protecting (insurance). Our goal is to use external and internal data to not only present a comprehensive view of their financial position across all their financial relationships, but also help them make the best decisions at any stage of their financial journey. You will be part of a team which is responsible for building the foundational data and enrichment platforms, large-scale machine learning models and systems, and finally exposing them as product features to end users. We are a group of machine learning engineers, frontend engineers, scientists and annotators. The team is responsible for AI products and very large scale machine learning engineering systems that enriches all Jupiter transactions for user specific insights, the alternate data and financial data platform which powers AI products and decisions across multiple products and stages of customer lifecycle, the smart savings tool called Pots, and much more! We work with an amazing team of product managers and designers to accomplish this with the signature mobile experience that Jupiter has come to be known for.

Roles and responsibilities:

• You will be working very closely with the engineers and scientists of the team to create an environment where all members of the team blossom to their full potential on a consistent and recurring basis. We have the culture and specific mechanisms in place which foster a high functioning but collegial atmosphere, but you have to embrace it, improve it, and help the team lean on it so that they truly deliver to their highest potential.
• You will help team members get past hard technical problems. You should be able to help them articulate the problem better, solve it, or even get them the help needed from the rest of the team. For that, you need to be engaged in technical design discussions from a very early stage.
• You will work with product managers to ensure that the product vision of PFM is fulfilled at each of the product journeys. For that, you need to understand the product requirements and how it translates dependencies on existing, and tasks for new engineering and science systems. You will also play a role in influencing the product roadmap based on technical considerations.

What you need :

• 3+ years of experience in specifically building, leading, and managing engineering teams within an engineering organization. 8+ years of overall experience in tech.
• Experience in working with cross-functional partners demonstrating high impact to the company by constant management team support and buy in.
• Experience providing technical leadership and guidance, and thinking strategically and analytically to solve problems.
• Experience with building/programming solutions in multiple stacks (Web, Mobile, Native, etc).
• Experience in working in and with teams building and maintaining large scale engineering systems.
Preferred Qualifications
• Engineering experience in high-performing engineering teams.
• Exposure to machine learning engineering systems.
• Experience in the B2C space.
