About the role:

The Trust Engineering Team is a core pillar of Engineering and works with teams across Robinhood to establish trust with our customers and employees by improving and ingraining security and privacy.

Your work will ensure that trust is a foundational bedrock of everything we do at Robinhood. You will drive our trust and safety efforts and build security and safety into our products and impact our customer experience. You will help ensure we meet our regulatory requirements and that both customers and Robinhoodies have a reliable, frictionless, and secure experience.

We’re looking for Engineering Managers who are deeply passionate about security, trust & safety, engineering, and building healthy teams to lead this critical effort.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Work with technical leads to set the direction for Trust & Safety engineering
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership in the implementation of auth services, identity management, login, onboarding, multi-factor authentication, trusted devices, and more
  • Oversee the enhancement process including cross-functional build-out, and front-end and back-end features required to support trust & safety initiatives
  • Work with cross-functional business, product, analytics, and engineering leaders to negotiate, plan, and execute on a roadmap for the Trust & Safety team
  • Coach team on evolving threat modeling and innovations in this space
  • Mentor and grow the members of your team for their immediate and long-term careers
  • Recruit top-tier talent at all levels of seniority
  • Work with Product Managers, Designers, Technical Program Managers and Technical Writers to lead this cross cutting team 

About you: 

  • 3 years+ of experience in engineering management
  • Experience making technical decisions and writing code
  • Experience building teams, mentoring engineers, and leading people
  • A hands-on Trust & Safety background, or related security experience

Bonus points: 

  • Experience in Finance and Accounting systems
