What you'll do:

• Develop a long-term editorial strategy for our Entertainment vertical, consistently raising the bar for our coverage and expanding R29’s influence in the entertainment world
• Determine monthly production breakdowns by writer and manage Entertainment calendar
• Work with Executive Editor and Features team to execute stories tied to larger packages and editorial tentpoles
• Manage and facilitate the day-to-day needs of Entertainment team
• Work with Executive Editor to ensure that Entertainment meets monthly traffic and production goals
• Maintain and develop contacts with PR across all entertainment areas, and work closely with talent desk to coordinate celebrity interviews and features
• Serve as Entertainment’s primary liaison with the BE and Sales teams

What you have:

• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Positive, intuitive/proactive, and collaborative team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior judgement and discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Keynote, Google Calendar
