As a Legal Intern, you will work directly with our General Counsel on a broad set of legal/business related issues and legal research projects. We are seeking a Legal Intern who is ambitious and optimistic and is ready to learn from experienced entrepreneurs. You are looking to take the lead on projects in order to improve your analytical skills and to understand what it is like to work at and advise a startup company. You have a sense of ownership, initiative and drive.   

You will focus on:

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda
  • Perform other special projects and assignments with the General Counsel
  • Assist Boxed’s General Counsel to achieve company and department goals
  • Work with highly-confidential and sensitive business information
  • Gain exposure to VC and emerging company topics and issues

Qualification:

  • Current law student (3L preferred, but will consider 2Ls) in New York City area
  • Strong aptitude for legal research and strong writing skills
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who possess a strong work ethic
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Extremely organized with a keen eye for detail
  • Desire to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced tech company
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, dynamic environment
