Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide technical support on-site or remotely to Eurofins Laboratory users primarily in the area of front-end devices and maintain users' satisfaction with their IT working environment;
  • Setting up and configuring new front-end IT infrastructure (laptops, desktops, printers, etc.) in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain the front-end IT infrastructure (Workstations, Printers, Smartphones, etc.) and ensure their reliability;
  • Support for Microsoft Office products in our enterprise environment;
  • Local order management of IT equipment;
  • End-user account maintenance; including account creation, ongoing maintenance, and deletion;
  • Document all interactions and problem resolution
  • Register, correct classification and categorization of all incoming IT requests in the ticketing system (OTRS))
  • Escalate tickets to the appropriate support group if required (following the KGDs/SOPs) and report to the IT Service Desk Manager on any issue that could significantly impact the busines;
  • Responds to and resolves issues withing the agreed time limits;
  • Develop in-depth Product Knowledge in order to resolve customer questions and issues;
  • Participate on the problem solution
  • Work together with other IT-Teams and travel if necessary
  • The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., with overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate would possess :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate with individuals with all levels of technical and non-technical skill sets (i.e. Developers, Project Managers, and external Customers);
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team with a courteous and professional attitude;
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills;
  • Good listening skills; problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple projects/clients at once in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must have the technical aptitude to learn, apply and solve technological solutions and/or challenges;
  • Flexible to work under all circumstances;
  • Must be willing to spend the time necessary to achieve and maintain a high level of technical proficiency;
  • High focus on the quality of work
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Must have experience working with PC based hardware, software and basic networking components;

Qualifications :

  • Secondary with school-leaving examination in IT or above
  • Three (3) years of experience with Information Technology hardware and software support
  • Driving License for personal car
  • Language skills:

o   Slovenian – Advanced (C1)

o   English – Upper Intermediate (B2)
