Finance Administrator

Delivery Ink (DI) is responsible for the daily dock to door distribution of print products, for both its Publisher Partners and third party publisher clients. DI is owned by Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail and distributes products across Ontario. DI has successfully integrated consolidated distribution and has established the foundational infrastructure for continued growth of multi-product distribution.


Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Finance and Accounting Manager, the Finance Administrator (FA) is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
  • Perform day to day processing of revenue billing, accounts payable processing, financial accounting activities and related financial administration
  • Perform bi-weekly and monthly distribution data consolidation and related preparation of revenue and expense invoices
  • Perform accounts receivable billing and accounts payable processing on a daily basis including account analyses and month/year end reconciliation activities
  • Solve billing/invoice discrepancies and communicate appropriately both internally and externally
  • Act as primary day to day liaison between DI and its client and supplier billing teams
  • Provide daily analysis and reports from operational data and facilitate related financial impacts (press delays, wait times, etc.)
  • Perform various financial administrative duties including bank document facilitation between DI and its various clients and suppliers (via email, FTP, etc.), electronic document filing/management internally and assisting the Finance and Accounting Manager with miscellaneous office related duties (bank deposits, etc.)
  • Assist the monthly/year end processes through analyzing, providing and processing journal entries, analyses, and accruals as needed
  • Identify and implement enhanced control procedures and business process betterments within Finance Department
  • Support operational decision making and efficiencies through preparation of periodic and special reports/analyses under tight deadlines, including KPIs, business analysis, financial trends, etc.
  • Support company projects in areas of Finance, Technology and Operations through data gathering, manipulation, analyses and reporting
