About the Department 

Deliveroo Finance is delivering a transformation programme to ensure the teams, processes and systems across Finance are optimally configured to best support the company in the execution of its strategy to achieve growth and profitability.  The role will report into the Finance Projects Team and will be tasked with delivering the change management activities for a major project transforming our source-to-pay (S2P) systems and processes.

The Finance Analyst (P2P) is primarily responsible for delivering the data migration activities within the Purchasing Architecture Transformation project. The role will need to get up to speed with the project quickly, and have experience with P2P systems, the full purchasing lifecycle  and take responsibility for the successful migration of all live purchase orders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Data analysis - Working through system reports in excel to analyse data and categorise it accurately and quickly
  • Data migration - manually recreating data in new fields and formats, ensuring absolute accuracy and validation where required
  • Accrual calculations - calculating accrual values from PO information 
  • Recognition of capex, stock and other balance sheet POs - being able to identify these and ensure the coding is correct, having an understanding of what should be capex and 
  • Understanding account coding - picking up Deliveroo account coding quickly to ensure accurate data migration
  • PO receipting - taking the action to receipt all migrated POs according to rules and accrual calculations
  • Accrual analysis - ensuring the results are as expected
  • Process design - to ensure that the PO migration is undertaken in the optimal way and there is an audit trail of the data moving between the two systems
  • Stakeholder communication-reaching out to Deliveroo colleagues with queries
  • Team work - working with other team members to get the job done collaboratively
  • Proactive self starter - happy to escalate any issue as soon as identified and comfortable working to tight deadlines



  • December / January - you must be available to work across the December period (including 21 - 24 Dec, 29 - 31 Dec, 4 - 5 Jan).  Some weekend working may be necessary during this time, which will be discussed and agreed in advance.

Key competencies/skills: 

  • Accountancy knowledge  - understanding of accruals, prepayments, expenses, stock and assets
  • Experience with P2P systems and process - understanding of the process flow of a purchase order, from raising to accounting to invoicing
  • Experienced Excel & systems user - comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, also ideally familiarity with gmail, gsheets, slack 
  • Analytical Mindset - to break down problems into clearly distinct and digestible issues and then identify options to resolve them 
  • Attention to detail - highly diligent, able to identify errors, flag anomalies and work to an exceptionally high degree of  accuracy
  • Effective Communicator - to build and sustain effective communications with the project team and end-users.  Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Flexible Approach - able to adapt easily to changing priorities .

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant
  • Experience working in Accounts Payable, purchase-to-pay (P2P) or financial accounting teams
  • Experience working with different purchase-to-pay (P2P) systems and different types of PO
  • Familiarity with project work and the phases of project lifecycles
  • Experience of P2P system change projects desirable
